Affirmations and Achieving Your Dreams
The power of the mind continues to amaze me especially when it comes to my mood.
If I have a good mind set with positive thoughts abounding, then I feel as though I can conquer and do anything. On the other hand, if I let negative thoughts take hold it’s not long before I feel as though life is awful and I’ll never reach my goals.
I believe that one of the character traits of really successful, well adjusted people is the ability to control their thinking. These people have learned how to stay in a positive mind set and they affirm themselves from within. Even when bad things happen to them or to their business ventures, they are able to maintain a positive outlook on things.
I’ll admit that some people are born with personalities that allow this to come easy, but for the rest of us it has to be learned and this can be a long process. Luckily in this day and age we have a lot of tools to help us learn how to think positively and go after our dreams.
One program that I’ve found is called The Sculptor Method which uses the power of thinking to transform how you view yourself, others and your dreams. The program focuses on the following 7 items;
- Affirmations
- Visualization
- Alpha sound technology (to induce highly receptive meditative states)
- Subliminal technology
- Sentence completion
- Assignment writing/goal setting
- Whole brain synchronization (utilizing thought, intuition, sensation and emotion)
The Sculptor Method believes that if you can master the seven steps than anything is possible for your life. Some may question some of their steps, stating that they are too “new age”. However I disagree, meditation is extremely important to good mental and spiritual health especially in the noisy, distracting world we live in.
So if you struggle with negative self talk, believing in yourself, or feel that your dreams have passed you by then a program like The Sculptor Method might be a good fit. I’m sure Susan Boyle thought at one point her dream would never happen, but when she mustered the courage to take those steps to be on Idol she forever changed the course of her life.
So it’s time to start affirming yourself instead of always cutting yourself down so that you can live a successful, well adjusted life that will in turn infect those around you.
