I’m Stuck in life and My Mentality is Crumbling
I have a lot of background information that makes my situation more understandable but I will break it down to a few easy sentences.
I am 19 years old and never wanted to be OUT of school. I graduated a year ago this month. I am intelligent and a hard worker, I will do anything I possibly can to succeed but I don’t know where to go.
I don’t have, and can’t get a job. I don’t have and can’t get a car. I can’t get to and from school, much less a job (if i could get one) It is a vicious circle and I am so lost my head may as well be spinning. My Dad can’t do anything to help me. Nothing. My Mother and Step Father hardly make enough to get by every month and are already carpooling with one car between the two of their jobs.
So my question is: What do I do? I am a creative writer, being an author would be a dream come true. I have a intricate fiction/fantasy work in progress. As a stable career that makes enough money I want to eventually become an RN. (registered nurse) I also love saving lives and medical situations.
Help please…
Dear Tabitha,
Thanks for writing in. It sounds like you may need to move out of your parents house. You need to be in a bigger city were you can find a job and use public transportation to get around.
Do you have family or friends anywhere else you could stay with until you get on your feet? Also, why aren’t you in college somewhere. With your financial situation surely you could have received financial assistance to attend college.
Have you checked online for writing opportunities? I just think where there’s a will, there’s always a way. You’ve just got to keep your willingness alive and think outside the box a bit to figure a way to get out of there and start a new life where you can have freedom and opportunity.
Kind regards,
Ted
